What do we think?

The survey highlighted most of all the delightful feeling of community and the village atmosphere and the desire to maintain that environment.
The community was surveyed and the "wishes" people shared with us are as follows..........
- More involvement for children/youth
- Not too much large development
- To feel safe to walk our streets.
- All shops closed Saturday, so we don't have to work (ha ha)
- To have a well integrated community that serves itself well. Is safe, vibrant, diverse, attractive physically, open.
- Protection of environment and animal welfare
- Safe environment with better public transport!
- More parks for the littlies
- A place for young and old, families from all walks of life. A haven, a welcome, a community of strength and vitality and friendship.
- Somewhere safe and organized for teenagers to meet and talk about their problems/issues etc...
- That it not be changed significantly by the housing development
- Happy time.
- It stays the same friendly community that it is at present
- Better transport
- To be a thriving 'community minded' are with lots of young families
- Swimming pool
- Huge notice board with organizations to support people with issues such as housing, health, dental, doctors etc.
- Weekend art classes
- Weekend art classes
- Cleaned up and decorated railway bridge
- Designated ‘lead off' dog park
- Better public transport
- Youth facilities - Male choir
- Regular annual event - (eg - Birthday Bash)

- Progress more into future while remaining "hill" attitude
- Walking bridge. If the station walk became a bridge over the top then it would feel safer and not smell like urine as often.
- Build more entertainment for youth
