Mrs Claus

Christmas is my favourite day of the year. From the traditional 6am "wake up it's Christmas!" call, right through to the big festive feast in the evenings.
Then there's the hundreds of other little wonderful things in between; the tree, lights, carols, candy canes, tinsel and, of course, the ripping open of presents.

The whole day is spent sharing time with my family and I look forward to it all year.
When I heard of a local lady who has dedicated her entire career to making every day feel like Christmas, I was excited to learn how to make my much-loved holiday last.
Bernadette Dimitrov (AKA Mrs Claus) is the host of a popular, and often controversial, pod-cast show called Conversations with Mrs Claus.
A podcast is a series of digital-media files which are distributed over the internet using syndication feeds you can playback on portable media players and computers. The term podcast, like broadcast, can refer either to the series of content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated.
The family show focuses on interviews with positive and inspirational change-makers, celebrities, best selling authors, coaches, actors and producers from around the world each week.
Bernadette who keeps her Christmas tree up all year, said she has "loved Christmas all of her life, and have a strong desire to help people." So she combined her two passions and the pod-cast show was born. Conversations with Mrs Claus begs the question, "Why should we limit Christmas to one day a year?"
"Christmas is really about connecting at a heart level and giving unconditionally with no expectations, but we can do this every day," Bernadette said.
Bernadette started the show from her home studio in Upper Gully about a year ago, and is still as passionate and enthusiastic as ever, admitting to enjoying the international interviews she conducts, sometimes at 2 or 3am. "It's not a job as I do it with joy, and have been fortunate enough to have made several wonderful friends world-wide," she said.
Bernadette receives lots of positive feedback for her show, and many Christmas related questions from children around the globe. "Some queries come from countries I haven't even heard of!" she said.
Her current show features several internationally renowned guests. Timothy Freke, is a best selling author, historian and authority on World mysticism. She also visits Sonia Ricotti a dynamic speaker, author and trainer who has appeared on Oprah!
But perhaps the most interesting guest for the current season is an Australian Anglican priest , Reverend Howard Langmead, who doubles as a stand up comedian. He believes the 11th commandment is "Though Shalt Laugh!"
Conversations with Mrs Claus is now heard in more than 90 countries around the world with more than 80,000 pod-cast downloads per month and growing. "Our goal is a million listeners," boasts Bernadette "and I know we'll reach it!"
